Annual Report AGM 21-22

We are still in very challenging times and that is ever present in our day to day at preschool. Developing and adjusting to new ways of working that ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, families and of course our wonderful staff team remains at the forefront of our daily operation.

The effects of the pandemic and particularly the Covid 19 Lockdown are present across all that we do. With the repercussions of this expected to continue long into the future.

Staff have been flexible and supportive ensuring Buddies is able to continue to provide care and education throughout all the changes and challenges.

Whilst we are still negotiating the ongoing pandemic, the impact it has on developing children and impact on financial stability, we are determined to push on and continue to work hard for our community. Aiming to provide a safe, stable environment in unsteady times.

As always it is the fabulous staff team and families that make Buddies such a great place to be – together we will remain strong. I am extremely grateful that our staff team have shown such commitment and huge flexibility to enable us to continue to operate despite the challenges. Kirsty’s unwavering support working through the endless guidance and requirements, often only released on a Friday afternoon or Bank Holiday, with me was invaluable.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Buddies over the years and who continue to do so – you really are appreciated!

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended DD / MM / YYYY .

• Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act

• of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
