The Iwstees have adopted the provisions of Accounts'ng and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities Preparing their accounts in accordan with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019). OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objectives and aims The charty's objectives are the support of general charitable activ1t. there are no restrted or erKlowmenl fvnds. The charity to let its propety to Only Connect UK on 1st June 2020 to the end of the financial year. During the year the charity generated income of £38.789 {2020.'£135,560) and made donats'ons of £8,00012020'.£10,500). The deficit for the year was £2,372 {2020'.£73,890 surplus}. The Injstees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing objectiV8s and activities. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Govornlng documènt The charity was established by a charitable trust deed on 7 August 1981. The day to day running of the charity is managed by the trustees. The settlor of the chartty is M L S Goldschmi8d, who has the power of appointing new trustees. I report In respect of my examination of the Trusvs accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying OLrt my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)Ib) of Ihe Ad. Independent examlner's stalemenl I have Cx)mp5eted my examination. I confim that no material matters have come lo my att8ntion in connection with Ihe examination giving me cause lo believe that in any material respect: accounting records were not kept in resped of the Trust as required by sedion 130 of the the accounts do not acrd with those records., or the accounts do not comply with the applScable requirements conceming the fom and onlent of accounts set OLrt in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a Irue and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Grants offered subject to conditions which have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment but not accrued as expenditure.
Tangible fixed assets
Investment properties are included in the Statement of Financial Position at their open market value determined annually by the trustees or external valuers and derived from the current market rents and investment property yields for comparable real estate. No depreciation is provided. Changes in fair value are recognized in the Statement of Financial Activities.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.

11. RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES
At the balance sheet date there was a loan owed to the charity of £175,000 (2019:£52,538) by The Marco Goldschmied Foundation. The Marco Goldschmied Foundation is considered a related party by virtue of the fact that M L S Goldschmied is a trustee.
