Location : The Rotary Club of Wickford meetings are held on Wednesdays at The Platform 3 Club, Wickford Railway Station, Market Avenue SS12 0AD

Structure Governance[&] Management: For each year the president ofthe club decides on the charities to which he/she wishes to make donations. There are normally 2 main fund-raising events annually - Sleigh collections and a Jazz concert.
Two other specific fund-raising activities include a monthly Quiz night (held online during the period in question) and a 200 club.
All events involve club members and the general public.
The Club Trust Fund receives the money raised by these fund-raising activities and accounts are presented to[the][club][members][and] monitored by them[and] the trustees on a monthly basis. All trustees are members of the club.
The Club Trust Fund receives in addition donations from individual members and other Members of the general public from time to time.
Reserves Policy:
Funds collected during the financial period are usually distributed during that period.
Funds collected for a specific charity or cause are reserved and carried forward until distributed.
An event contingency is maintained from prior event income against future events that might not break even.[All] reserved funds detailed under the committed funds section of the accounts. ’
Achievements and Performance:
In the year under review the President decided to distribute fund from the main fund-raising events across[3] nominated charities.
The total income received from all sources during the year was £35,379.66. Total expenditure amounted to £28,966.29[of][which] £21,287.08 was distributed as donations in the financial year. The main donations were made to the following: -
St Luke’s Hospice received £7895.98
Turkey Earthquake appeal[received][£5368.50] Shelterbox received £3245.00
In addition to the aboverecipients, the following distributions were made during the year
Life Education received £1015.00
Macular Society received £910.00 Trussell Trust Foodbank received £827.35 Salvation Army Foodbank received £600.00 MacMillan Cancer Support received £404.00 Rotary Foundation[received][£356.25] New[Life] Wood received £265.00 Wickford in Bloom received £250.00
RNLI Lifeboat received £100.00
Wickford at Christmas received £50.00
All elementsof these fund-raising activities are scrutinised and approved by members and trustees[club][council][and] at the monthly[Business] meetings.
