Location : The Rotary Club of Wickford meetings are held on Wednesdays at The Chichester Hotel,[Old] London Rd, Rawreth, Wickford, SS11 8UE (subsequently moved to Platform 3 Club, Wickford Railway Station, Market Avenue sS12 OAD)

Structure Governance & Management:
For eachyear the president of the club decides on the charities to which he/she wishes to make donations. There are normally 3 main fund-raising events annually - A firework display, sleigh collections and a Jazz concert.
Sadly due to the Coronavirus pandemic the fireworks display did not go ahead in 2021
Twoother specific fund-raising activities include a monthly Quiz night (held online during the period in question) and a 200 club.
All events involve club members and the general public.
The Club Trust Fund receives the money raised by these fund-raising activities and accounts are presented to the club members and monitored by them and the trustees on a monthly basis. All trustees are members ofthe club.
The Club Trust Fund receives in addition donations from individual members and other Membersof the general public from time to time.
Reserves Policy:
Funds collected during the financial period are usually distributed during that period.
Funds collected for a specific charity or cause are reserved and carried forward until distributed.
An event contingency is maintained from prior event income against future events that might not break even. All reserved funds detailed under the committed funds section of the accounts.
Achievements and Performance:
In the year under review the President decided to distribute fund from the main fund-raising events across 3 nominated charities.
The total income received from all sources during the year was £29,466.42. Total expenditure amounted to £43,053.28 of which £25,427.58 was distributed as donations in the financial year. The main donations were madeto the following:-
Essex Air Ambulance received £9056.50 Alzheimer’s Society received £2301.57 Rotary Foundation received £3190.01
Some members ofthe Club made regular donations to the Trust specifically to support the[Salvation] Army[Foodbank] in Wickford, who received £1,000. Membersalso made donations to support the Red Cross Appeal for Ukraine, who received £6552.37
In addition to the above recipients, the following distributions were made during the year Little Havens received £1,241 The Brompton Fountain received £960
Kool Carers received £721.77
Bees Abroad received £300
MacMillan Cancer Support received £104
All elements of these fund-raising activities are scrutinised and approved by members and trustees club council and at the monthly Business meetings.
