Finance Report

We have now appointed a new accountant, and will be retained going forward. They are Practical Bookkeeping Services

Her report and summary of accounts attached. Our accounts will be submitted to the Charity Commission.

The totals in the accounts at the end of the financial year April 2025 are as follows:

We are still holding the balance in the main account in respect of building works, date still to be determined.

Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Scrutineer

As the Group's/District's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts; you consider that the audit requirements of the Charities Act 2011 do not apply. It is my responsibility without carrying out an audit to complete an independent examination to scrutinise the accounts and to report to you.

Basis of Scruti 15 Stat ‘

In accordance with the directions given in the Group's/District's constitution, | have scrutinised the records and the accounts as set out.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of the ist CLACTON SCOUT GROUP

| report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of 1st Clacton Scout Group (the Charity) for the year ended 5 April 2025.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

| report in respect of my examination of the charity accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, | have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner's statement

| have completed my examination. | confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

e the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
*« the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
e the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

| have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
