the Charity Commission is 282845. The Principal office of the charty is.. 114 Spring Road. Bltterne,

Structure. Governance & Managgment
The governin9 documents of the charity comprise 8 Deed of Coven8nt d8tsd 31 March 1977 and a Trust
Deèd dated 17 March 1981.
Recommendations as to suitable trustees may be made by Officers 8nd members of Spring Road
Evangelical Church. The actual Se￿ctIon and appointment is then made by the existing Trustees.
The charity is managed by a part-time Bookshop Man8ger, who is appointed by the trustees and
supported by approximately 12 volunteers all ol whom are members of, or associated w(th, Spring Road
Evangelical Church.
Objects and Actlvltles
The objects of the Charity are the advancement of the Christian faith by the establishment of a Christian
Bookshop or Bookshops for the sale and distribution of Christian books and literature,. and to prepare.
print, publish and sell, wholesale or retail, such Christi8n books and literatur8.
Achlevements and Perfonnance
Th& charity has continued its work of distributing Bibles, good Christian books and other literature, Sunday
School materials and Day School Resources Manuals. Salès continued at a steady rale throughout the
year, with an increase in sales of stationery and similar items. Ovarall, there was a delicit of just under
£600.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2024 set out on pages 4 to 10.

The charity's Irus18es are responsible for thè preparation of the accounts. The trustee5 consider that an
audit is not required for this year (under section 44(21 of tha Charitles A¢1 2011 Ithg 2011 Actll and that an
independent examination is needed.

To follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity CommissionefS
under section 145151 Ibl of the 2011 Act,. and

Basls of Independent examln8rf$ report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity
Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those recor(Is. 11 a150 includes COns￿eration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees ¢oncerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidènce that would be required in an audit,
and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'lrue and fairf view and the
report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

I have complèted my examination. I confimi that no m8tsrial matters have com8 to my attontion in
connection with the examination which give me cause to believe that, in any material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with SeCt￿)n 130 of the ChaHlles Act,. or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records,. or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the fomi and content of
accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulation5 2008 other th8n any requirement
that the accounts give a 'lrue and fair, view which is not a mattèr considèrad as Part of an indèpendant
exarnination.
I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in this report in order lo enable a proper understanding of the accounts lo be
reached.
