## **FOWLS Activities in 2024**

2024 was a landmark year for West Lodge School, marking 70th anniversary for school’s existence. FOWLS played a central role in supporting these celebrations and in delivering a wide range of fundraising activities throughout the year.

Key events in early 2024 included the Book sale, Marathon go fund me, Football Tournament, Enterprise Challenge, EOY disco, and a significant highlight was the 70th Anniversary program, which featured both the alumni sale and the Summer fair. These initiatives not only celebrated the school’s history but also generated valuable funds for future projects.

The year also welcomed new FOWLS members, who brought fresh perspectives and energy. Their contribution saw the reintroduction of events and continued to deliver strong fund raising opportunities. It concluded on a high note with the Christmas event, which exceeded expectations and provided a successful and positive close to our anniversary year.

During 2024, FOWLS supported the school by providing over £39,683.86 towards books for the library and school consumption and Outdoor learning set-up & equipment.

Furthermore, the trustees use a risk-free and easy-access deposit account at a High Street bank. Stripe continued to be the choice of payment gateway among the parents and the FOWLS team.

Thank you once again to all the parents, carers and staff at West Lodge School for all the support in helping to raise so much money for the benefit of the children.
