## **FRIENDS OF WEST LODGE SCHOOL ANNUAL REPORT** **FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2021** ## **Constitution** Friends of West Lodge Schools (‘FOWLS’) is a registered charity, number 282766. Its address is at West Lodge School, West End Lane, Pinner, HA5 1AF. ## **Objective** The objective of FOWLS is to advance all aspects of the education of the pupils at West Lodge School by supporting the school community. ## **Management** FOWLS is administered by a Committee of Management comprising: Chairperson Vigya Nahata Co- Chairperson Mita Chakrabati Treasurer Bijal Vaducha Co- Treasurer Anil Awasthi Other members Committee Members Parents and Teachers ## **FOWLS Activities in 2021** 2021 continued to be an unusual year, with Covid restrictions and lock down still in place and affecting many events and activities. Although things were come to normal, there were restrictions in place for in personal activities until Summer term. The much loved Summer Fair was combined with the Enterprise challenge for Year 6 students and was organised as an in school event, which was a huge success. Autumn Soiree was the first in person event after a long 2 year wait was enjoyed by over 300 parents and children and raised over £2000. Once again FOWLS team was creative and organised fun filled events like Light Festival, Pets of West lodge, Class marathon challenge, etc raising vital funds through-out the financial year. During the financial period the FOWLS continued to fund the school activities. The raised FOWLS were used to fund the developement and resources for the Outdoor Learning projects. This included supply and installation of fences, plants, gravelled raised beds and activity tables and benches for the kids. Furthermore, the trustees use a risk-free and easy-access deposit account at a High Street bank. Stripe continued to be the choice of payment gateway among the parents and the FOWLS team. 1 Thank you once again to all of the parents, carers and staff at West Lodge School for all your support in helping to raise so much money for the benefit of the children. ## **Friends of West Lodge Schools** **Statement of assets and liabilities at 31st December 2021** 2 ## **Breakdown of Profit by Event** **Friends of West Lodge School (FOWLS)** **Income & Expenditure account for the period ending December 2021** ## **Current Bank Balance** The current bank balance as of 06th May 2022 is £34,260.67 (Barclays) The current bank balance as of 06th May 2022 is £9968.95 (TSB) TSB current bank balance as of 06th May 2022 is £0.00 Covenanting account was closed on 25th Jan 2022 and balance of £238.25 transfered to Barclays account 3 INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Friends of West Lodge School report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Friends of Wesl Lodge School IFOWLSI for the year ended 31 December 2021. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of FOWLS you are responsible for the Preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of FOWLS, accounts carried out under Section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)Ib) of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examinalion. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which me cause to believe that, in any material respect.. 1. the accounting records were not kept in respect of FOWLS as required by Section 130 of the Act,. or 2. the accounts do not accord wilh Ihe accounting records,. or 3. the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements Con￿rning the form and contenl of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not a matter considered as a part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in Connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
