Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Since being founded in 1979, the charity now owns a total of five holiday chalets on a holiday park on the Norfolk coast which are regularly inspected and maintained all year round (internally and externally) to ensure a safe surrounding for our guests. We continually look at ways to evolve with the digital world and now have a social media page with approximately 500 followers which in turn allow us to reach out our services to a wider society in the UK, ensuring that more people can benefit from our purposes. With a shortage of alternative options available to disabled people, our purpose and the accommodation that we offer enables them to have a better quality of life, along with providing their families and carers some much needed respite care at regular intervals. |
Additional information (optional) You may choose to include further statements where relevant about:
| Achievements against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | During the course of this financial year we have continued to provide accommodation to people with disabilities along with their families and carers. Through our social media platform we have also managed to obtain three new clients in the form of care homes in the UK. |
|---|---|---|
| Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | Fund-raising activities have been minimal due to individuals time restraints in their daily lives but as confidence amongst individuals also starts to grow again following the Covid-19 pandemic, we thrive to increase such events going forward to continually ensure that we meet our objectives. |
| Investment performance against objectives |
Para 1.41 | We continually look at ways to invest in and improve our current accommodation to ensure maximum comfort and practicality for our guests along with maintaining each asset to a high standard. |
| Other | We continue to listen to individuals needs for suitable accommodation as we look to increase the range of assets that we currently offer. |
