**Objects:** I. TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY IN THE COUNTY OF OXFORDSHIRE. II. TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATON IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES AN TO THAT END TO BRING TOGETHER REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, VOLUTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS ENGAGED IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.

**Activities:** Fosters and promotes the study and publication of local history in Oxfordshire. Publishes a regular news bulletin and an occasional journal and organises two study days a year. Acts as an umbrella organisation for parish and other local history groups. Makes occasional small grants to individuals and organisations to facilitate the study of Oxfordshire local history.
