NANPEAN PLAYING FIELD ANNUAL REPORT FOR YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 2021

This year the Playing Fields has enjoyed somewhat of a Renaissance with the injection of grant money from St. Dennis and Nanpean Community Fund and 106 grants to enable us to resurface the car park after many years of hard labour repairing pot holes. This has been remarked upon on numerous occasions by people using the car park when visiting the Playing Field. We have also been able to repair a section of the lane at the rear of the park and the access steps to the car park have been rebuilt with shallower risers and wider treads.

Thanks must go to those who spent a lot of time working hard to apply for the grant funding. We have also received grant from the Parish Council ( in two payments of £1000 paid in one year). We are very grateful for the chance to give the park a new lease of life to go forward into the future.

Insurance has been updated to cover the new play areas and car park and the Parish Grant has been of help.

We would continue to hope for younger members of the community to join the committee and trustees in the coming year as we would hope to raise money with events leading up to the Queen’s Jubilee weekend and be able to put on a weekend of events for the village to enjoy.

All in all a good year for Nanpean Playing Fields.
