Chairman'8 Report, Revigw of A¢llvltfo$ and Financial Position
The Greek Orthodox Cornmunity of St Demelrios incoming resources increased by £12,580 and
expenditure by £37.258 as a result the unre$lri¢t&d fund5 increa58d by £14.209 to £1.484,293 as at
the Balance Sheet dale. The financial position keeps improving.
Th8 Charity ¢onlinued to run the church and provide a s¢hool for ils young community with ovei 240
¢hildr&n allènding the Greek School. These continued activit￿8 provided the public a facility lo prey and
advancÉ th8 Christian faith and provided young chiklren in lh& local community with learning facilities.
The Charity onc? again ran a succ*ssful surnm8r festival with over 600 attendees. Th? genaral
committee has attracted some extra volunteers to a5si$I the Charity in ils objectiV&5.
During th8 year the charity carried out some muth needed refuthi5hments across all th& buiklings.

The nursery closed during the year in July hence ￿duced income and expen8e8 associated.

The trustees actively revi￿ the risks the charity faces on a regular bas15 and believe that maintaining
our f￿ reseNes at th8 lev8ls slated above. combined with our annual review of conlroL8 over k8y
financial systems carr￿d out through an internal audit programme, will provide sufficient resources in
the event of adverse conditions. The trustees have also èxamined other operational risks which we face
and confirm that thay have established $y$tem8 to mitigate the sufficient r15ks.
Fundraising 5tandard$
The Charity carries out fundraising for both general a¢tivilie$ and specific ¢au$88. Al cemmunication
with potential donors is open and transparent regarding the purpose for and u8e of the donation. The
Charity ensures all fundraising activities a￿ legal. The Charity continues to be giateful for the support of

As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts,. you consider th81 the
requirement of section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 Ilhe 2011 Acll doe5 not apply, and that an
independent examination is needed. Thg charity gross income exceeded £250.000 and l am qualified
to undertake the examination by being a qualrfied membgr of ACCA. 11 is my responsibility lo examine
the accounts under section 145 of the Act and lo Slate, on the basis of procedures specified in the
General Directions given by the Charty Commission under section 145151{bl of the Act 2011", and
slate whether particular matters have come lo my attention.

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Di￿¢t10nS given by the Charity
Commission. An oxaminalion includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charrty and a

The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102. The financial statements have been

The address of the registered office is given in the chaiity infomation on page 1 of these finan¢ial

fixed amount ever y month. The don8lions are recogni88d as soon as are banked.
No amount is included in the financial Statements for volunteer time in line with the SORP IFRS 1021.
