As I come to the eNJ of my first term as Pr￿ent of Newquay Dramati¢ 5oaety, l hardly believe that
the time has passed so quKkty. Lwkn"ng back on all the plays an(J hinngs it is iniw wdènt that we
conlnue trj ￿ an Integral part of the theathcal map In Cornwall.
I woJld like to thank all our members aTrJ visitors who continue to suppJrt us in all the events ￿ undertake
throughout the year. You have all helped u5 to rnaintsin a thriving theatre. As Y(￿ will See from our endosed
annual acc(MJnts a great deal of necessary work has been completed to en￿￿ the safe running of wr
theatre. All is nearly accomplithed so many thanks to all those who manned the theatre when the work
force carrted out the Improvements. The committee is always supportive aTrJ they fro￿ been tireL&y
working towards obtainiThJ a grant. ThSs means that the sokr pand projett can go ahead.
I must ntsw thank all those in tsjr Newquay Drarnatsc Se<iety who ha￿ providèj $L￿h excellent
entertainment over the year. We have wekomed many rw younger MeMt￿ arKI they will certsinly be the
future of our theatre. AJI our great artors have given us shows where we Complete￿ lose ourselves and
become part of the act￿n. This year we have enjoyed "The Ghost Train," a great cksslc directed ty Sue
Tre￿IcOCk. Then it was"Out of Order- directed by Andy Fox. What a wonderfijl comedy. This year we can
lth)k for*Mrd to"Handbagged." It will be directed by sus￿ Bundy and it is in(Jeed a ￿aY to knk forward to.

At the CD.A. awards thi5 year we receNed nominatK*ns the hopefvl red￿￿ts trelng Sue Trebilcod( and
Su5ie &Jndy. We feel very proud of them. Many thanks to all our ursung heroes who hdp to rnake our play5
so successful; we must also thank thcÉe who organise our hirings. espetialty Pdul Sim who alway5 gives us a
wi(Je wdriety of shows.
