*Nearly £20,000 of the Income comprised grants towards the tower repairs and refund of the VAT on the work. The monthly coffee mornings continued to provide a useful income stream. Interest of £416.32 for the 4th quarter on the CCLA account was paid on 3/1/24 and will appear in the 2024 accounts.
**The majority of the higher than usual expenditure related to repairs to the tower, roof and weathervane, with the larger part of the cost being for scaffolding.

Checking on the terminology here in the section 11.10 "Scope of the independent examiner's work" https://www.churchofengland.org/more/policy-and-thinking/pcc-accountability-guide/chapter-11 : I can confirm that I have reviewed the accounting records and confirm the transactions and totals are calculated correctly. I have checked the records against the NatWest and CCLA accounts' opening and closing balances on PDF statements to verify.
