A(hlevements and perfoiman¢e
Review of actlvltles
The yearwa5 a highly successful one for the Tru51. Donatlon Income of £2.53m12024', £0,97m) was recelved
during the year, and £2.53m12024 £0.92ml was applied for and transferred to Trlnlty Foundation In support
of students and the academic mlssion of Trlnlty College Dublln.
The Universltvs UK alumnl continue to be active. wlth a number of events organi5ed by alumni group5 across
the UK. Two key events were held In the London Dlnlng club In February and May 2Q25, and the variou5 UK
based alumnl groups held a varied calendar otevents and outing5 throLbghout the year.
Fundralsln8:
Over 1,200 gifts were received by the Trust durlng the year, a 100% increase on the prlor year. Key glfts
received during the year include:
£lm Ilncludln8 Gift Aid) from a donor to support the Trinity Old Library Redevelopment Project
£0.3m legacy to support the Trlnlty St lames'5 Cancer In5tttute
£0.15m to support Unlverslty Llbrary ConseNation projècts.
GolTr8 concern
The Trust has no employees, and the only overheads incurred by the Trust relates to professlonal fees and
bank charges. Admlnlstratlve 5UPPOrt Is provlded to the Trust by Trlnlty Foundatlon ITrSnlty Development &
Altsmni- TDAI.

The overall geopolitical landscape remalns volatlle; however, phllanthropy contlnues to be key to supporting
the University to meet tts key objectlves. and the Trustees have a reasonable expectatlon that the charlty has
adequate resourtes to tontSnue Sn operational exlstence for the foreseeable fvture. The Trustees have
determined that In orderto ensure the long-term sustalnability of the charlty and11s abi1Styto meet operating
costs as they fall due, the Trust wlll malntain reserves representin8 18 months of fOre￿$t operating costs.
For thls reason, they contlnue to adopt the going con￿rn basis In preparing the flnancial statements.
Flnanclal revlew
The annual financial statements are attached to thls report. These have been prepared in accordance wfth the
pollcles 5ummarlsed on pages 8 to 9.
There was a Ideflcitllsurplus from all actlvltles of I£10,185112024: £41.8331 on Incomlng resources of

The London Trust for Trinity College Dublin is an independent body which makes grants forthe furtherance of
higher education.
Periodicallyi Trinity Foundation, on behalf of the University, submlt grant clalms to the Trust to apply for
donations received. Any such requests are made in line with the donors, wlshes.
Any decisions to make grants are made by the Trustees on a maSorlty rule basls.
The actlvltles of the Trust are co-ordlnated vla the Chalr of the Trust, with assi5tan¢e from TDA. Trustee
communications and decisions are done primarlty by emall. telephone, and meetln8s as required.
The method of appolntment for Trustees Is that the names of prominent and actlve members wlthln the
graduate base are reviewed by current Trustee5 and a democratic cholce made from a short list. The Trustees
have been carefully chosen from graduates of differing decades. to ensure a falr reflectlon of views.
A new Trustee is provided with the following informatlon to enable hlm or her to discharge his or her
responsibilltles, namely.. a copy of the Trust Deed, the latest annual accounts and current financial posltion.
the latest Chairman's report, the Mlnutes of the last meetlnB of Trustees, any available information on cyrrent
marketlng prolects and a copy of the Charity Commi551on's Duties of Trustees.

The Trnst's activities are fully subsumed Into the wider risk management archltecture of the Trlnlty
Oevelopment and Alumni. The rlsk management pollcy Is revlsed on an ongolng basis to ensure it Is robust,
relevant and appropriately reflects the environment in which the phllanthroplc entltles of the University
operate in.
Speclallzed rlsk tralnlng Ss dellvered perlodlcally to the core Rlsk Management Team by an external risk expert
to malntaln hlgh governance standards.
Risk registers for each area are prepared and revlewed twlce a year along wlth an artlon plan and risk
dashboard.
Plans for future years
The Trust engaged a Specialist legal firm to undertake a full review of the Trust Deed In November 2025. The
purpose of the revlew Is to update the language, Includlng to add modern governance powers and provlslons
and flexible provisions around virtual meetings and decisions by emall. These changes were presented to the
Charlty Commission in February 2026. Once re8ulatory approval forthe updated Trust Deed has been obtained,
the Board of Trustees will be formally reconstituted. Thls process will all8n the composition, tenure. and
recruitment of the Board with the moderni5ed governance provlsions. ensurlng the trustees are structured
effectively to dellver the charltls strateglc oblectlves.
