They are elected annually at the Club's AGM and serve for the year from l July to 30 June. In addition the Eocal community benefits from financial support given to local clubs and societies and support is also given to many projects fither afiel(L Ix)th at a national and international level. through LÉons Clubs International. the worldwide association to which the Club belongs. The TnLsÈ¢¢s are ther¢for¢ satisfied that th¢r¢ is wide ranging public benefit as a result of the Trust's activities particularly b￿Ing in ￿illd the International Lions motto of 'We Serv¢.. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Flats - these continue to provide living accomtnodation for 6 t¢nants at a rthsonable rent. They are maintain¢d to a good standard and whi15t one became vacant during the year it was re-let once appropriate n￿l￿tellance and renovation been completed and all were occupied at the year end ComEnunity MiDibus- this provides au invaluable service at no charge to the local community particularly, but not exclusively. to the more elderly and infirni in the local villages. Regular shopping trips run on three days per week and there are regular outings for residents from local care and residential homes during the surnmer months. It is availabl¢ for th¢ local food bank when n¢￿ed and it is also used by a numb￿ of local societies and ass(Kiations, including youth groups. to supwrt their activities. Playground for the Disabled- this h&s now in oimtion for 26 y¢ars and Provides a secure and secluded environment where parents/carers15pecial schools looking after people with special needs of all ages. although pr¢dominantly youllgster5, can relax and use the equipment and space providsl without the distractions and worries encountered in a public park. The benefits Can be gauged by the fact that in those 26 years in excess of 700 families, special schools. supwrt oups etc have registered for MernE￿ip and new applications continu¢ to be received on a regular b&sis. The Tn￿ has continued to meet requests for financial support from llumerous local orgaDisations and those in need &s well &s suprx>rting pmjects under the auspices of Lions Clubs International. FINANCIAL REVIEW A copy of the examin¢d accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 is attache Unresiicted Funds The principal source of regular income for this fund is donations made by Yeo Valley Lions Club which runs a number of well-established fund rdising events during the Year. These totalled £1 0,827 (2024 £16,000), together with Christmas Gift Aided donations of £6,907 (2024 £6.798). Income this year also benefit¢d from 3 on¢4)ff indiwidual donations totalling £12,881. The general cost of operating the minibus. our single largest ongoing commitmenL was £5,)23 (2024 £5,447) although this was partly offset by donations of £3.349 (2024 £2.587) received from users of the b￿8 and a community transport grant of £380 from the District Council.

The costs of maintaining the Special Need Playground were £4,327 (2024 £4.980). Other payments totalling £18,916 show the broad spread of supp)rt continuing to be given to the Ii)cal conynunity and ￿yond. The balance of this Fund is held in a non-interest bearing accounL is readily available, and is ¢onsidcr¢d adequate for the purpos¢ of th¢ Charity. The balance includes £41,500 which has been earn]arked for the replacement of the conllnunity minibus. Desi ted Funds This Fund comprises the residential flats. Fuller occupation this year resulted in an InCr&￿ed relltal income of £41,725 (2024 £33.084). Maintenance and insurance costs of £37.898 (2024 £42.773) reflected ro￿lne mainten2n¢e work undertaken in the flats together with sigmifiGant improvements to one flat while it was vacant. We continue to maintain the flats to a higb standard and undertake a complete redecordtion at each vacancy. There were no rent arrears at 30 June 2025. We continued to supwjrt the operation of a local Dementia Hub and make other donations relating to services provided for the elderly. Due to these items expenditure exceeded income by £6.172 during the year and cash balances at the year ¢nd stood at £216,516 which sum is readily available. FUTURE PLANS Yeo Valley Lions Club coniinu¢s its r¢gular fimd raising events, from which donations will continue to be made to the T￿￿ for distributio Its principal service activities will continue for the public benefit with consideration likely to be given in due course to the purchase of a replacement minibus. the current vehicle now being 14 y¢aTS old. With the le&s¢ on the current playground having only 4 yeats to a Strategic Planning Conllnittee is considering the fiJture of this valuable project. Beyond the costs of maintaining the playground and the minibus other donations and grants ar¢ only mad¢ from available funds an￿ th¢ttfor¢, expense5 can be suitably controlled against the available resources. Thc flats will continue to maintained to a high standard and consideration will continue to be given to other suitable opportunities to use monies in th¢ tksignated Fund as th¢y arise, within th¢ wishes expresrf but not mandate¢ by the Donor when bequeathing the properties to the TDJSL
