CLA Charltable Trust Accounts CM I £¥AWTA¥U Chair's Report for the year ending 30th November 2025 It Is a real honour to be writing my first Chairfs Report for the CLA Charitable Trust. l am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the Trust's important work and to support its mission of promoting access to, education of and the benefits of the countryside. I look forward to working with my fellow trustees, the charitie5 we 5UPPOrt and the students we support with scholarships to make a positive impact. I would like to take this moment to pay tribute to our out-going Chair, Bridget Biddell, for all the hard work she has undertaken during her time as a Trustee and Chalr. Her dedication and vlslon have been instrumental in shaping the CLA Charitable Trust's direction. When Bridget joined in 2015, the Trust offered £60,000 to 15 charities, this year we have made over £250,000 of grants and scholarships to 58 different charitles. Bridget's leadershlp has left a lasting mark, and we are Indebted to her for her tireless work and unwavering commitment. Over the past decade, the CLA Charitable Trust has seen remarkable growth in both the number and value of grants and scholarship5 awarded. Thi5 expansion has enabled u5 to reach more beneficiaries and to 5UPPOrt a diverse range of projects. The Board has continued the multi-year funding as we are aware of the si8nificant benefits It can bring. We have been able to offer thi5 to a small number of charities who aliEn closely with our charitable aims. This pproach has provided 8reater stability and assurance, allowing these four charities to plan and deliver their 5ervice5 more effectively. The demand for grants remalns consistently high. We continue to be oversubscribed. This year we managed to fund one in four of grants, who applied. We continue to prioritise support for increased access to the countryside for all, the advancement of rural education and support for mental health. These areas are central to our purpose and the ongoing economic climate means that the demand for the work these charities undertake continues to rise and the need for funds rises too. I would like to express my deepest thanks to all the charities who we have worked with over the past year. I would like to thank all the Trustees for all the hard work they have undertaken over the past year and for their ongoing support for the CLA Charitable Trust. Your dedication, generosity and belief in our work are what makes our achievements possible.
