2. ORiGINS
The Trust was created by Mr H.A.Hollidayby Deed dated 13th April 1980.
Mr H.A. Holliday di¢d 25 April 1980 and left the residue of his estste to his widow Mrs L Holliday for lift. The
Will provided that tsn her de&th a two sevenths share of the Tesidue was payable to the ¢barity.

3. OBJECTIVES AND AcfiviTIES
The objeetives of th¢ Charity are set out in Clause 3 of the TNst Deed. which states that the Trustees shall hold the
Trust Futtd to pay or Vdpply th¢ capital aDd aDnuai income to or for the charitable piwposes of all or any one or more
to the exclusion of the others or other of the bodies, associatiot)s and orgatiisations set forth in the S¢hedlll¢ to the
Deed or to such other ehar&ties or for sueh other charitable pU￿oS¢S and in such proportions and in such manner and
8ubject to sucb tern￿ and conditions as the Trustees may in their un¢ontrolled dis¢reiion d¢lerniin¢.

Thts Fund wa5 created on 5th April 21)01 by gjft from Mr Richard Durden Holliday and add¢d to on 15th ApTiI
2005. The income and capital of the fund after Charging its slwe of the mallag¢ment attd #d￿l￿stratiVe ¢xpcn5es is
to be applied to support charitie5 involved in any major way Thryth cancer treatm¢nt, research or r¢li¢f.
The T￿￿tee$ adrninister the Charity in accordance with the objectives and the other provi$ion$ of the Tn￿t D¢ed.
The T￿￿teeS receive and consider many applicatiolls for grattts during the y¢ar alld a8ree a list of grants aunually.
5. AcHIEVEl￿ENTs AND PERFOR￿cE
Note 5 giv¢s d¢tsils of the grants to charities made in the yeor. The Trustees are satisfied with the stat¢ of the TnJst'8
affairn.
6. FINANCIAL RESULTS
The Financial Statements on pages 6 to 13 giv¢ d¢tails of the incomc and ¢xpcnditur¢ for the year. The assets and
liabilities at 5 A ril 2024 are shown on page 7.
Income receive
amounted to £37.548 ¢xpenditur¢ on &dmini5tration was £10,902 and grants amounted to £46,250.
Th¢rc wer¢ unrealised net gains on investments of £113,325 aud realised net loss of £99,943. Th¢ result was a total
deficii for th¢ y¢ar of £6.222 being 4 d¢fi¢it on th¢ O¢ll¢T41 Fund of £862 and a deficit on the Cancer Fund of
£5,360.
7. RISK MANAGEMENT
Th¢ major risk5 to which the charity is exposed, as identified by the T￿￿tee$, hnve been reviewed and systetns #re
in place to manage those risks.

The Governlng Document
The governing document of th¢ Charity is tbe deed daied 15 April 1980 whereby the late MT H.A Holliday paid
the sum of £2.000 to the Trustees.
Appointment of Trustres
When a need arises the power of appointing new Trustees v¢sts with the Tn￿le¢S al that time.

. The Trustees discuss the nwi&g¢m¢nt of the Ch￿Lty regularly.
The investment portfolio is managed on a discretionary basis by the Investm¢Dt advisors in a¢¢owwadc¢ with
guide line agreed with ihe trusle¢s.
11. PUBLIC BENEFIT
Tn m¢¢ting the objc¢tiv¢s thc Trust¢es have given carcful consideration to the Charity Commission's general
guidance on publi¢ b¢n¢fi¢ and judge that all donations made meet this gutdance.
12. PAYMETr4TS TO BENEFICIAIUES
The charities listed in the Scbedule to the Will are as follows..

. The Electrical & Electrolli¢S Industri¢s BeJ)¢volent Asso¢iatio
Th¢ Ttustees consider such CharÉties for granls when Mppropriate but the Funds deriving from the Will of Mr
H.A.Holliday r¢pr¢s¢nt a small proportion of the total and the TDJStees use the powers given to benefit any
Charitable organisalioll. The Trustees receive and consider many appli¢ations for grants dwing the year and
agree a list of grants annually.
14. STATEMENT OF THE TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES
Cbarity Law requires th¢ TnJst¢¢s to pr¢par¢ Financial Stst¢m¢nts for ¢a¢h financial y¢ur which givc a tN¢ and
fair view of the Charitys financial activities duriDg the year and of its financial position at the ¢nd ofthe y¢ar.
