These issues have been resolved post year-end and grant making activities have resumed in 2023. ``` ## **`Financial review`** ``` The surplus for the year is £7,204 consisting of bank interest received. ``` ``` It is the policyof the Trust that unrestrictedfunds which have not been designatedfor a specificuse should bemaintainedatalevelequivalenttobetweenthreeandsixmonth'sexpenditure.TheTrustees consider that reservesat thislevelwillensurethat, in the eventof a significantdrop in funding,theywillbe able to continue the Trust's current activitieswhileconsiderationis givento ways in which additionalfunds may be raised. This level of reserves has been maintained throughout the year. ``` ``` The Trusteeshave assessedthe major risksto which the Trust is exposed,and are satisfiedthat systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. ``` ``` The Trust continues to deposit money with institutions to earn interest. ``` ``` It is the intentionto continue to support childrenwith dyslexiaby payingpart or all of their school fees.
