## **The Coastguard Association Charity** Registered Charity No 279359 Trustees Report for 2025 The Association continued to uphold its goal of raising our profile with all stakeholders. We are particularly grateful for a continuously developing relationship with various departments and within the Senior Leadership Team from the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA), who actively maintain support for our activities. The MCA are actively promoting awareness of the Coastguard Association amongst MCA employees and volunteers and continue to encourage more engagement from within the agency to interact with the Coastguard Association further. As reported in 2024, we are not only engaged in providing financial support, for 2025 we were successful in providing training in peer-to-peer Mental Health Awareness and Support within the membership. We understand this has been viewed positively as beneficial for those involved, both in terms of volunteer training and those that have used and engaged with this welfare provision. In 2025, the Coastguard Association leased an Office in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire as a formal base of operations and activities going forward. As reported in 2024, our aim is make the Coastguard Association more professional, proactive and to improve the management of our activities to foster further growth by way of increased membership, merchandising and donations. We have simultaneously introduced a member relationship management system to facilitate our interactions with our members, embraced online payment systems to streamline our operations, merchandising functions and the wide variety of local and national fundraising activities we undertake. Our membership is growing steadily, reserves are continuing to show strength, and we are maintaining our ability to provide the help and assistance to our stakeholders appropriate to our stated aims. We again continued our presence at the Emergency Services Show (ESS) at the NEC in Birmingham in order to maintain visibility to our members, and our online and digital Registered Charity Number 279359 Email: Treasurer@coastguardassociation.org.uk presence continues to be a vital part of our mission to inform all stakeholders of our ongoing activities and is at the forefront of promoting membership. Our Membership Assistance Programme initiative in partnership with a leading service provider, enables members to access Health and Wellbeing facilities as well as providing other benefits associated with lifestyle preferences, and continues to be a universal benefit of membership. Looking forward, 2026 is our 50[th] Anniversary year and it is our intention to take the Coastguard Association on the road to visit all 18 Operational Coastguard areas across the UK to further promote the activities and benefits of the Coastguard Association to our stakeholders. We are grateful to our private sector partners who are sponsoring much of this activity and our progress will be visible to all online over the summer of 2026. Once again, we are grateful to our loyal supporters, volunteers and partners without whose efforts much of our aims would not be possible.
