## Activities

**Objects:** (A) TO FURTHER THE EFFICIENCY OF THE COASTGUARD SERVICE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE RELIEF OF SERVING AND RETIRED REGULAR AND AUXILIARY COASTGUARDS AND THEIR WIDOWS, ORPHANS AND DEPENDANTS WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS OR ILLNESS, ILL-HEALTH OR INJURY; AND (B) TO RELIEVE SUCH OTHER PERSONS, THEIR WIDOWS ORPHANS AND DEPENDANTS WHO SUFFER FROM NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS OR ILLNESS, ILL-HEALTH OR INJURY AS A CONSEQUENCE OF HAVING RENDERED OR ATTEMPTED TO RENDER ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN PERIL ON THE SEAS OR FORESHORE OR AS A RESULT OF MARINE DISASTER; AND (C) TO HAVE PARTICULAR REGARD TO THE NEEDS OF THOSE PERSONS WITHIN THE TERMS OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED OBJECTS WHO ARE WITHOUT PARENTS OR OTHER NEAR RELATIVES.

**Activities:** The Charity  grants funds to meet immediate welfare needs of past and present Coastguards and dependents. Sales of promotional material and other activities and partnerships continues to bring income into the charity. The trustees have built up  cash and asset reserves to secure the  activities of the Association for at least the next three years.
