## Activities

**Objects:** The charitable purpose of the Unit (the Purpose) is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC).

**Activities:** We are a Sea Cadet unit serving Chichester and surrounding areas and a member of the Nation wide Sea Cadet Corps. We have volunteer uniformed and civilian male and female staff who train male and female Sea Cadets aged between 10 and 18 in the traditions and skills of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and the sea, including character and leadership training, canoeing, sailing and handling motor boats.
