Apologi. Dan Inkley, Ollver Inkley, Gillian O Callaghan, Ian Mcmillan AD said he had investigated the canvas tents and the would be repairs required and no replaments were needed. PB said he has sent Ixjt Gift Aid fonns for newcomers. PG introduced himself to the group as he was not at the AGM when the new parents volunteered to become committee members. He als) mentioned the change to Trust status. Kt tslked about the financial situatlon In the absen of IM Lloyds Currenuy at £150,068 induding £50,000 from C Wilson, £IOOO from Weston Turville Parish Counal, Gift Aid of £2821 and two cheques totslllng £4,598. CAF Bank has £72,341 in savings alc and £445 In current alc. There is substantially more Gift Aid to come. The above figures include the for camp. Kt said there was also £50,000 to come from C Wilg)n year. In addition, gift aid would be daimed on this amount. KI also said Wendover Community Trust (which includes Aston Clinton, We#on Turville, Stoke Mandeville and Wendover) has pledged £15,000. KI said funding avenues are now open as planniro pemiission for the new bulld has bn approved. FI52 may rM)tth"ally pThide a grart of £70,000 on application. Kt said HS2 would be approached regarding suppliers for the ground works of the new build and he al said the costs may be more than previously estimated.
KI said leaders needed to be prudent on SPKIlng. He a19) thanked OI arKI DI for their work on fundrdising. The group agreed that monies from the Lloyds account could be transferred to the CAF account. LO suggested involving the young people in fundraising. It was suggested that they be given £5 each and generate activities to raise funds. When asked the group agreed that it was a gooKI idea arKI it was agreed that it would start after half term in Cttober. CB asked If there would be recognltion for good WO in fundralsing. CB asked about funding from The Lottery and KI said the scout hut was not used by a sufflcient number of community groups. He alx) said the lease only covers •• the scouts and said he would approach the council with regard to a change of use. KI also tslked about uslng local buslnesses such as B&Q, Wicks etc. to provlde goods for the new building l.e., kitchen, toilets, shower etc. NC said she had spoken to the Beavers regarding fundraising and they came up wlth some ideas such as selling old toys and old clothes. NC al> suggested fi WO but KI said there were Insuran issues. Kl said all tsons were dolThJ very well. AD said there 40 scouts JK said the cubs were a good group. AD said he was doing a course to become an air iifie instructor. He sald good quality equipment was needed and would investigate. CB suggested using Badgers Auctions for the rifles. She al sald they had good quality g(M)ds. Kl said he would repl a Ilght and get a battery for the smke alarm. CB rrEntioned she was on another l(Kal Committ and tlw did not have a regular venue for their nwtings and athed KI if they could Lt* the scout hut. Kt said yes they could. PG mentioned the training required for Committ members (trustees) and said he was waiting for a new training package as the status had changaJ. He also said he could do the training in the scout hut. Kl explained that although we were Call trustees there are no finanaal Implications for any of us as we are not a business. We are oversight and control PB said he was chasing Glft Aid ForrTS from new starters. Kl tslked about the painting on the wall in the OUt hut and the importance of kpIng it.
