The Sandy Dewhirsl Charitable Trust Charity Commission reference number is 279161.
This is an unincorporated grant-making trust conslituled by a Trust deed dated 20 November 1979. Clause
121hl of the trust deed requires the Trustees to have the Trust financial statements audited yearly by a
chartered accountant.
The objects ol the Trust are as follows=

lal in the employment of l.J. Dewhirsl Holdings Limited or any other company or other corporate body ol
which the Selllor shall have been a director lor a period ol not less than three years

person or persons

Idl dependants ol any such person as aforesaid whether or not such dependanls shall be related or be or
have been married lo any such person and whether wholly or partly dependent upon or maintained by any such

PROVIDED ALW AYS that il at any lime the Trustees shall in their absolute discretion decide that the Trust

On an annual basis, the Trustees consider and approve donations lo the charitable objects.
The Trust's capital is invested with UBS Wealth Management and invested mainly in stock markets. The
Trustees have delegated the day lo day management of the trust funds lo UBS Wealth Management.

The income received in the year amounted lo £36,11312022.. £31,273) and funded grants and related costs ol
£66,832 12022.. £63,597). The reserves held al the year end lolal £1,762,606 12022- £1,682,356). The
Trustees note that during the year reserves have increased by £80,250.
There are no restrictions on the charity's power to invesl. The aim is to maintain the income yield and maintain
the Trust capital in real terms.

The policy ol the Trustees is to broadly maintain the charity's funds al such a level in order lo provide sullicient
capital growth and income lo continue lo meet the Trustees, expected grant making objectives.
There are no reslriclions on the charity's powers lo invest.
Risk Mana
ement
The Trustees are aware ol the major strategic, business and operational risks which the charity faces. The
funds have been invested with a view to protecting the capital value in real terms and maintaining the income
yield. Additionally they verily the charitable status ol all individuals and bodies to whom grants are made.
