Summary of thè purposes of the Charity:
The advancement of the education of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting in the
provision of facilities for education at the school (not nomially provided by the Local Education
Authority), and as ancillary thereto and in furtherance of this objective the charity may (1)
fosler more exiended relationships behveen the staff, parents and others associated with the
school, and (2) engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of
the pupils attending ii.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes:
Social events for parents. friends arKI families with the objective of raising funds for the
harity
Supporting school events (particulady, bLrt not limited to, in perfomiing arts) by selling
refreshments to raise funds for the charity
Hosting welcome events for parents who a￿ new to the school
Selling second hand uniform to raise funds for the charty
Pollcy on grant maklng:
The charity provides grants to the sth¢)ol for requests made by the school which are covered
by the charity's purposes.
Contribution made by volunteers:
Volunteers run the charity's committee and organise and staff events.
Achievements and Performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity:
In the financial year 2021122, the tharity re￿iVed £41,120 in incomefrom events and second-
hand uniform sales. The largest fund-raiser of the year was a Christmas ball which raised
£25,315 before expenses. The net amount raised from that event was £16,428.
The charity had total expenses in the year of £15.766 so raised a total net amount of £25,355
during the year. The Gharity donated £34,000 to the school in September 2021 which was
used to replace the school's theatre seating.

The charity is in a healthy financial position with SLrfFicient reserves to operate properly in the
coming financial year.
Statement explainlng the policy for holding reserves stating why they are held:
The charity holds reserves only for the purposes of ensuring sufficient sums are available for
the expenses of running events to raise funds for the charity.
Amount of reserves held: £25,670 in bank and rAsh reseThes at 31 August 2022.

The charty's principal SoUr￿S of funds are sales of tickets for fundraising events and
refreshments at fundraising and school events. together with sales of second-hand unifom.

Any parents or guardians of students currently attending Sir Wlliam Bodase's Grammar
School are eligible to undertake a trustee role. One alumni parent trustee role will be offered.
All trustees will be nominated and elected by vote ofthe members either attheAnnual General
Meeting or if14 days, written notice is given tothe members at a minimum of12 weekly periods
from the lastAGM. All elections will take plac£ under the written proposal and seconding rules
lasting an initial 2 years seeknng reetection annually thereafter (for a maximum of 4 years in
any specific role).

charity ("the Trust") for the year ended
Responsibilities and
basis of report
As the charity's Iruslees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
{"Ihe Act'}.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 14515llbl of the Act.
