the market place, after meeting the market expenses, is paid
in full to the Berkhamsted Town Hall Trust in accordance with
the above objects.
The main activity is overseeing the running of the Saturday,
Sunday and Wednesday markets for the community of
Berkhamsted and other ad hoc markets e.g. International

Review of the charity’s In this financial year there was a surplus of receipts over
financial position at the end payments of £44,515 (2024: £49,626). The decrease of

resulting in lower footfall. In addition an estimated £600 of
rent from the Saturday market on 18th January 2025 was
stolen from Mike Smith whilst in transit at gunpoint (Police
Report Reference No 432500031985) and Petals the Florist,
failed to pay their market area usage charge of £1,500 before
1st April 2025.
The trustees were not paid by or received any other benefits
from the Market Fund (2024: £Nil) neither were they
reimbursed expenses during the year (2024: £Nil). No trustee
received payment for professional or other services supplied
to the Market Fund (2024: £Nil).
