**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY IN THE VICINITY OF WALTHAMSTOW FOR THE BENEFIT AND EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC.

**Activities:** Founded in 1914, to further the study of local history and publish books in which such knowledge would be available for all comers for all time. Monthly meetings held during the winter season with speakers. Also visits and guided tours locally and further afield. Free guided walks around the local Walthamstow area during the summer.
