During the period the management committee carrled out a variety of actNities In order
to achieve the objects of the Charity sel out in the Constiiulion..
Spreading the Gospel truth of Guru Granlh Sahib, the Holy Book and
holding congregation5 to celebrate the Sikh Gurpurbs and preaching and
performing Sikh religious Tiles and ￿reMonies, including baptism, funeral
services and marriages in accordance wslh Sikh religious Iradilions.
Organising public leelures, conferences and meetings and arranging
ieligious gatherings as required by the Sikh communrty lo promote Sikhisrn.
Organising olher programmes consislenl with the spirit of Sikh religion and
approved by Ihe members.
Advancing the education of members of this organisation and the host
community concerning good citizenship in a mutti-raeial scciety and co-
ordlnaling with other organisations established for the attalnmenl of this
oblective.
Providing spiritual and material support for Ih05e in need.
Participating in the local community interfaith activities.

Responsibilities of members of tho management committe•
The law applicable lo charities In Ellglané and Wales Ilhe Charities Act 2011} requires the
management committee to prepare financial sts18menls for each financial period.
The management committee is responsible for keeping accounting records which disclose
wllh reasonable accur¥y the financial position of the Charity and which enable them lo
ensure that the financial slalemenls comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are 81s0
responsible for $8feguarding the assets of the Charity and henc6 for taking reasonable
steps lor Ihg prevention and deleclion ol fraud and olher irregularities.

The management committee a¢livety roviews the major risks which the charity faces on a
regular basi5 and believes that mainlaining reserves al current levels, combined with an
onnual revi￿ of the controls over key financial systems. will provide suFfi¢ienl resource8

committee implemented a low risk investment policy and all funds were h¢ld in bank
current and deposit a¢Gounts.
Reserves and c88h Investments policies are both kept under period￿ ￿VIeW by the
management committoe.
Relocatlon
In VI￿ of the increaslng sanget Icongregalionl and keeping in vlew the age ol the existing
building and 118 limited capacity especially on major ￿lIgiouS events, during the year the
Committee in collaboration with a local church made 8 bid for 8 local site owned by the
Royal Borough of Wnd8or & Maidenhead. Our bid did not 8uccead as thera wa8
competition from prrvale investors. The search for a suilable relocation srte continues.

for the preparation of the accounts in accordance wrth the requirements of the Charities Act

I report in respect of my examination of the accounts carried out under sects.on 145 of the
2011 Act and in carying out my examination. I have followed the applicable Directsons given
by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act.
