The original trust deeds of Croscombe
Village Hall Fund slate the Village Hall is for
the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of
CrtYJcombe in Ihe county of Somerset
without distinction of polrtical. religious or
olher opinions including the use for
meetings.18Ctures and classes and for other
forns of recreation and leisure-time
occupation with the obje¢t of improving
conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

the range of activities to the whole

ment of all residents.
The Village Hall 1$ rented out on a regular
ba$1$ to a variety of communrty group$
{Including dance classes. historical societies,
and specific Interest or membership groups
as V￿11 as social and commercial
organisations) Furthermore, the Village Hall
is frequently rented to local residents for
family celebrations and other sihiilar one-off
events.

Achievements and Performance

We continue to be a very well used hall with
activrties ranging from children's baltet,
school nativty plays, exercise and dance
Classes. As a Committee we run village
s(Kial evenls. lyinging together members of
the ¢ornmunily for film nights and coffee
mornings. We ￿ main mindful of the
Importan￿ of combating isolation and
providing events that are inclusive both
financially and socially for all members of the
village and wider cornmunity The feedback
from the community is overwhelmingly
positive and supportive of our work.

Following a community consultation, we are
working towards improving the comfort,
sustainability and accessibility of the hall.
W8 have raised the money required to
replace our old and draughly doors and
windows which will be completed in August
2025. The next project$ we have been
$earGhing are the reducts'on of our energy
Cost by installing solar panels and major
improvements to the car park. We have
been exploring options lo improve the Gar
park surfa¢e, drainage and disabled parking.
The community and the committee we are
also aware of the environmental
Improvements these projects will bring.
As a ¢ommittee we have improved and
updated our policies on safeguarding, hearth
and safety, fire risk and reserves which
along wrth our ongoing projects will ensure
the hall is a safe and welcoming venue
