It should still be noted that membership of the association is not a r8qulrement to partpate in a safety cOue and that our safety COue5 8150 cover th8 handling of fireamis in relation to public safety outside of the 'raroe' environs. In addition. Range Officer Seminars have stsrted moving back to being delivered via classroom sessions and on range. Our standing wilh the police forc8 rem8ins high, 8nd the excellenee of our training is dearly recLyJnised. The Home Office sllll recognise us a National Governing Organisation INGOI. Durfng the 18St quarter of 2023. Council deuded to expand on th8 Assoclations gtanl policy. to include Match Grants. These grants were intended to eompel affillaled clubs to host more L1-3 matches across all dlsciFAines throughout 2024, wth an allocated budget supported by a new policy for consisncY. This, combined with the elub development grants. yielded slgnificant interest from a number of clubs whith subsequently reached a new record for the UKPSA of grants issued wthin 8 fin8ncial year. The Grants sub-committeo reviewed apph'c8tions and submitted to Council for final review and infomied the applicants of their outcomes respectively. The Grant Awards totslled £64,423 and have improved infrastructure. facilities and equipped dubs to hi)st quallty matches going foard. Training Expanses Increase.. The National Range Officers Institute {NROII commenc8d 2024 wlth a drive to increase qualified match officials. due lo a lower count of active RO'S and CRO'S across the region. Candidates who met the criteria for joinirvJ the NROI pathway were Invit&J to a series of L1 and L2 semlnzTS held in different localions lo enable the majority of students Io attend 8nd be ¢x)st efleciive. The wnsiderable take up of the training has not only yielded a rnh greater number of new RO'S but also promote(J severnl exlsting to CRO. All Trustees and Match Officials were 81s0 obliged to comkleie Saleguar¢Jing and D8S chocks as we m8y work with vulnarabl& paople. New reeruits will also undergo background checks on completion of thelr assessment. The incsease In NaOnal Champlonshlp expenses is due to the m8ich olficrdls allowances and Range Masier expenses.
