ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
This year we applied for and were awarded 3 £16,500 Grant from Uttlesford District Council
under their Zero Carbon Communities Fund which was funded by the UK Government
through their UK Shared Prosperity Fund {UKSPFGI to provide the Village Hall with Solar
Panels and batteries.
To enable the roof to support these panels and provide a guarantee we first had to refurbish
part of the peaked roof and alarge flat roof. This enabled us to fit panels facing South, east
and west to maximise their use. We also installed batteries in a locked cupboard to hold,
store and in time export power back to the National Grid.
We have provided facilities to the local community prlncipally the local parish council, Tai Ji
Club and Takeley Rotary Club. We also continue to provide facilities for the Countryside Pre-
school Nursery who provlde day care services for babies of 6 month5 UP to school starting
age.
This year we have also held an Easter Egg Hunt for local children. A Children's Fun Day using
Rising Stars during the summer break, and an Afternoon Tea for the local Senior Citizens.
