Activities
The principal activity of the charity is the promotion of contemporary dance and the celebration of 21st century choreography. It exists for the benefit of the general public, to take dance out across the capital and to bring audiences in. It does this primarily through the annual Dance Umbrella festival by commissioning, producing and presenting dance works.
Objects: The Objects Of The Charity (The Objects) Are For The Public Benefit To:4.1.1 Promote, Maintain, Improve And Advance Education Particularly By:(a) The Production Of Dance Performances, Workshops, Participatory Events Andother Educational Activities;(b) The Encouragement Of The Arts Including (But Not Limited To) The Arts Of Dance,choreography, Drama, Ballet, Music And Singing; And (C) Providing Facilities And Opportunities For Participation In Creative Learning; And4.1.2 Provide Facilities And Opportunities For Art And Performance-Related Recreation In Theinterests Of Social, Economic, And Physical Welfare Of Members Of The Public With Theobject Of Improving Their Condition And Quality Of Life.
