Section D Achievements and performance March **2012** **TAR** 4 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main** During the past year, the Parents’ Association has reported a **achievements of the** surplus of £12,876 compared to a deficit of £(11,826) in the **charity during the year** previous year. The financial year 2021-2022 represented a semi-normal year after two years of rearrangements and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The bi-annual Summer Ball was able to take place, and generated significant income for the PA thanks in large part to the tremendous generosity of the parents of our schoolchildren. Including all costs and the revenue from the silent auctions and other items the Ball generated a net inflow of £16,461. In addition to the ball significant revenue of £4,200 was generated through an auction of gazebos that gave a prime finish line location at our Lower and Upper School Sports Days. We were also able to host a Christmas Fayre in 2021 albeit outdoors and in much reduced form. Battling through the conditions our PA team and parent volunteers once again excelled themselves to generate £2,941 in revenue. The last big ticket item of note on the plus side of our ledger relates to the Nearly New Uniform sales initiative. The PA offered to take on the reselling of unwanted uniform from the school shop. The team receives donations from parents and, after careful review to ensure quality, organises 2-3 sales per year. Given the cost-of-living situation this offers a vital source of high quality uniform to parents at a reasonable price. £2,421 was generated from these sales. The PA continued to fund items around school life in 2021-2022. We funded some key equipment for the school covering the costs of two brand new reading sheds and paying the first instalment on a set of new play equipment to be enjoyed by all our our children for years to come. Alongside investment in the school we also funded a Frozen workshop, our usual Panto committment, commemorative Jubilee gifts and our usual Christmas and Easter craft gifts for all children in the school. We also managed to find a day out for our Year 6 children who were so heavily impacted by COVID-19. In addition to parent volunteers that are so important to running the fund-raising events, the PA has received £625 in donations. We would like to thank parents for their support and hope to receive their continued support next year. We have also maintained our PTA UK membership through which we gain insurance cover for these major events.
