the charitable company for the purposes of company lawl are responsible for the preparation of the financial
statements and for being 5at15fied that they gwe a true and fair view, and for such internal control as the
trustees determine is lle￿5$3ry to enable the preparation of financial statements that are free from material
mi5StatemeTht. whether due to fraud 01 error.
In preparing the financial statements. the trustees are responsible for asse55ing the charitable company's abilÉty
to continue a5 a going concern. disclosin& as applicable, matters related to going concern and using the going
concern basis of accounting unless the trustees either intend to liquidate the charitable company or to cease
operations. or have no realistic ahernative but to do so.
Our responsibilitie5 forthe audil of the financlal statements
Our objecttves are to obtain reasonable 35surance about whetherthe financial ststement5 a5 a whole are free
from material mssstatement, whether due to Iraud or error, and to issue a Report of the Auditors that includes
our opinion. Reasonable assurance is a high level ol assvrance. but is not a guarantee that an audit conducted
in accordance with ISAS IUKI will alway5 detert a material misstatement when it exists. Mi55tatements can arise
from fraud or error and are considered material if. indiwdually or in the aggregate. they could reasonably be
expetted to influence the economtc detisions of Use￿ taken on the basis of these financial statements.
Irregularities. including fraud. are instances of non<ompliance with law5 and regulations. We design
procedure5 in line with our responsibilities, outlined above. to detect material mi5Statements in respect of
irregularities. Including fraud. The extent to which our procedures are capable of detettin£ irregularities,
including fraud Is detailed below.
Our approach to identifying and assessing the risks of material misstatement in respect of irregularitie5.
intluding fraud and non-compliance with laws and regulations. was as follows-
- the enga8ement partner ensured that the engagement team collettwely had the appropriate competence,
capabilities and skills to identify or recogni5e non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations-
we identified the laws and regulations applicable to the company through dixussion5 Wlth ijirectors and
other management. and from our cornmefcial knowledge and experience of the companie5 operatlng sector,.
- we focused on specific law5 and regulations which we considered may have a direct material effect on the
financial 5tatement5 01 the operations of the company, induding the Companies Act 2006. taxation
leEislation. data protection. anti-bribery. employment, environmental and health and safety legislation,.
- we assessed the extent of compliance wth the laws and regulation5 identifjed abtrve throu8h making
enquiries of management and inspecting legal correspondence: and
identified laws and re8ulations were communicated within the audit team regularly and the team
remained alert to instances of non-compliance throughout the audit.
We assessed the suscepthbility of the companvs financial statements to material misstatement, including
obtaining an understandin8 of howfraud might occvr. by..
making enquiries of management as to where they considered there was Sus￿ptibIIity lo fraud, their
knowled8e of actual, suspected and alleBed fraud-

considering the internal controls in place to mitigate risks of fraud and nofytompliante with laws and
regulatlOn5.
To address the risk of fraud through management bias and override of controls, we-
performed analytical procedure5 to identify any unusual or unexpected relationships,.
tested journal entries to identify unusual transa￿10nS.'
- assessed whether judgements and assumptions made in detem)ining the accountiThg estimates were
indicative of potential bias,.
investigated the rationale behind significant or unusual transartions- and
- investigated the companws apportionment of housing income. grants, and ¢)thei main sources of
income.
In response to the risk of irregularities and non-compllance with laws and regulation5. we designed procedures
which included. but were not limited to..
agreeing financial statement disclosures to underWing supporting d¢xumentation-
- reading the Minute5 of meetings of those charged with Kovemance,.
enquiring of managernent a5 to actual and potential litigation and claims,.
- reviewing correspondence with HMRC. relevant regulators Icharity Commissionl and the companvs legal
advisors.
There are inherent limitations in ouraudit procedu￿$ desuibed above. The more removed that laws and
regulations are from financial transactions, the less likety it is that we would become aware of non-compliance.
Auditing standards also limit Ihe audit procedures required to identify non4ompliance with laws and
gulation5 to enquiry of the dirertors and other mana8ement and the inspeuion of regulatory and legal
correspondence. if any.
Materlal misstatements that arb5e due to fraud can be harder to detert than those that arise from error as they
may Involve deliberate concealment or collusion.
Use of our report
This report is made solely to the charltable companws tnjstees. as a body. in accordance wrth Section 144 of
the Charities Art 2011 and regulations made under Section 154 of that Att. Our audit work has been

to them in an auditors. report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent pennitted by law. we do not

As disclosed ITh note 11, uncertainty exists regarding Aesources Centre fvndl￿- our core grant for outreach service5 has been
reduced significantly. albett our 8ranior has given an undertaknnBto pro￿de fundinB until 31 March 2025.
Continuity of 5erwce prowsion depends on the availability of suffioeTrt funding. and this has yet to be fully established for the
ensuing year. Reserves are sufficient to finance the potential Shortfall fur over 12 month5 beyond the balan£e sheet date and,
given the continuing need for the Charstys seNces. the Tntstee5 are of the opinion that the Charity will secure funding and
