We were also honoured to take part in the London Mozart Players’ Christmas concert. Although none of our concerts generated a surplus when considering event costs against ticket income, we are able to continue presenting them thanks to the vital support of membership subscriptions and donations. We are especially grateful to the Humphrey Richardson Taylor Charitable Trust for their generous grant of £3,000, and to Professor Elizabeth Kuipers for her remarkable Living Legacy gift of £10,000 in May 2024, which continues to support the engagement of professional soloists. Like many choral societies, our membership numbers are much lower than pre-COVID. The drop in the number of members has inevitably led to lower ticket sales.
