Chairman’s report
We are continually looking for new volunteers but this is proving very difficult people just don’t want to commit
Once again we are not holding the Firework Display due to increased cost from the firework company, difficulty with youths drinking and swearing at volunteers this group have caused great problems over the past 2-3 years with no police presence most people standing outside watching the display without paying to enter has had a huge effect on our proceeds volunteers getting disheartened after all their hard work so we are putting this event on hold until further notice
Manager’s report
We did return to Peacock Meadow for the car boot sales however dur to the increased yellow lines around this area buyers were finding it very hard to park we had the added complaints from residents who don’t want a car boot sale near them therefore we moved to Coypool park and ride for a short period this site does not draw the sellers as Peacock does we are down on numbers also we have lost revenue from the kitchen, we have to continue there for the time being as without this revenue the centre would not survive being so small
Everyone is feeling the pinch with numbers at classes down I’m not sure if they will continue Birthday bookings are almost non existent these are the first things to go if things are tight
