The objects of the Society are to advan¢¢ the educati￿ and 4)pre£i&ion of mwit and to offeJ access to the
work of trf)th establi$h¢d and developing composers atsl artists through the ￿romi￿)ce of d)oral woths and
other mLisical activities.
Achlevements ¥4nd ￿rforMance
Having regard to the Cliarity Cirtnmission's public benefit guidanK the TnL8￿3 aim tomaintain manEtrship
numbas to raise sufficlent funds to enable the hlring of rKofessional orche5tr&8 aNI soloists while keeping the
prices of concert tickets affordable. The choir kyfom1￿ two public concerts in 2024-25: in November works
by PurrKII and Linley, involving a quintet ofsoloists friym the Royal College of Music an orchcstra from
the musi￿] and Amicable Society (MASI and in May works by Rutter and F.Igar, with the chorus joined by
a soprano soloist from the Royal BiTmingham Conserv&toir4 an MAS oychestral ￿￿emble and organi5L

The costs associated with the running of the Socirty. of which we¢kly ￿hearsal* are the m8ior CoM￿￿en(
are met by fund8 from manbers. subscription& d(￿til￿￿ aTMI fi￿K1-￿I5In8 ￿tiViti&5. Aller com& this in¢ome
gave rise to a net sU￿}uS of £6216 (2023-24 surplLL8 £5.335). This increw was duc largely to ￿Ceipt of a
£1.21)O grnnt from a Iiycal S￿r￿T to help supp)rt thc stsgin8 of concerts. The Fx)sitive surplus reflects the
genera]ly applid policy of planning for in the day-ttrday Tunning of the Society to offset some
concert costs. thereby helpin8 to keep con¢&t i1￿¢t prilxs ai an affordable leyel and maintain g¢xd audience5.

sreks to maintain a Trservc equivalertt to approximately half a year's incom& As anticip4 this year the

in 2024-25 (1.401) when only one of the three concuts held requirul engagement of an orch&4tr& However.
