## **Trustees' Annual Report**

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

During the years ending 31 March 2025, we were faced with tremendous challenges and impact of the pandemic in a big way. Running our main functions with strict adherence to the wealth department directives and government legislations was a major task and we must applaud the untiring efforts of our members, volunteers and supporters in maintaining the smooth functions of the charity.

To maintain the social distancing in offering mosque prayer space, we successfully introduced multiple sessions for Friday prayers and followed trace-and-track for each attendee. With the increasing Swindon population, this was never easy to accommodate attendees for Friday’s prayers even during the pre-pandemic times and we always struggled with the limited space of mosque space demand.

Maintaining the healthy finance to the pre-pandemic levels was another major challenge due mostly to the reduced donation / collection driven by reduced foot-fall, but somehow we managed.

With the objective of consistent improvement we have successfully brought some more improvements in the space of ceremonies in addition to increasing the number of children.

## **Financial review**

The trustees consider it necessary to maintain unrestricted cash reserves of not less than £4,000 to ensure that it can meet it’s financial obligations from month to month.

At the 31 March 2024 the charity’s unrestricted cash reserves amounted to £128,705. This amount has accumulated due to donations exceeding expenditure for a number of years.

The charity’s financial position at the 31 March 2025 is more than adequate to ensure it can function for the foreseeable future.

## **Declaration**

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.

This report was approved by the board on 28rd Jan. 2026 and signed on its behalf by
