The Christian RenewalTrust Rèport ol the Trustees for the year ended 30th September 2022 The Christian Renew8lTrustwas estab￿shed by deed dated 19" July 1978 Inumber2764961 with the followingobjects: "The advancement of the Christian religion, the relief of the poor and the relief of the sick and th8 aged in need". The principle objects are achieved by the raising of f unds by donation, bequest and subscription from within the FeitQWship of Churches of Christ in Great Britain and Ireland and its member churches and providing loans. grants and gifts to member churches of the Fellowship or other Christian establishments or organisations in general agreement with the principles of the trust. The said loans, grants or gifts contributing to the public benefit by: -The provision. upkeep, repair, renovation orenhancement ofplaces of Christian worship, education orcommunityoutreach. For Christian religious education, training and the raising of awareness and understanding of Christian beliets and practices. - Supporting churches forthe carryingout of public reliOous devotional acts such as weddings and funerals. . The carryingoutof community outreach bythe supportof the poor, sick, infirm and those with disabilities and the needy in the community. - The carrying out of missionaryworkforthe 8dvancementofthe Christian religion Revlew of actlvitleS The Trustees meeteighttimes throughouttheyear in question. There were four primary issues that occupied their attention. First. they continued to support Dr Hirpo Kumbi in his workto establish a troining programme forchurch leaders in the Fellowship of Churches of Christ. The trust received donations of £10.000 in relation to that project which included of £5.000 from the Fellowship ofChurche8 of Christ. Second. they discussed a variety of issues relating to buildings in Wigston, Leicester, in Erdington. Birmingham and Ilford in London. Third, theyexplored Suggestions for additlQn8ltrustees.

Fourth. they continued discussions on a mergerbetween the CRT, the Fellowship of Churches of Christ and Formission Gollege. Thetwst received donations from the Fellowship ofchurches ofchrist to help payforthe work of a consultant in relation to the developmenta tTrining programme. Thetrustsold shares tothevalue of£20.OOOto f8cikntste new loans. It also received 23.272 as income from investments. The trust made a gr8nt to the Fellowship of Churches of Christ to assist with administration costs. Legal costs of £1,800 were paid duringthe year in relation to the proposed merger mentioned above.
