Section D Achievements and performance Following the acquisition of the Charity's new premises in 2010, the **Summary of the main** process of refurbishment and improvement has continued, with major **achievements of the charity** building works completed this year. **during the year** This is the 13[th] year of the occupation of the new premises, and we have continued to see a strong performance in the membership and finances of the Charity. The continued support of the community, members and other donators was paramount to the success and aims of the Charity. Various fund-raising events were also carried out raising much needed funds for the charity with the help of our members. We continued to apply for grants to support our Foodbank and wellbeing activities, receiving grant income of over £15,000 during the year; Foodbank grant funding is reducing and further applications are being progressed. We continued to host Schools visits to support local religious education curriculum for school children and teachers We continued our Eco initiatives, including upgrading all lighting to energy efficient fittings as part of this year's building works; we continue to benefit from the Solar Panels and batteries installed in previous years, which provide a significant contribution towards the energy consumption of the Gurdwara premises (including heating of hot water). We represented the Sikh community exclusively at the Northampton Carnival this year to promote Punjabi culture, which was very well received Featured in an ITV special visit during Bandi Chhor Divas, giving the Gurdwara a live TV presence Setting children’s educational workshops on major Sikh festivals. Held a Kids Holiday Club in Abington Park over the summer, and ran our most successful Sikhi Camp to date in October 2025, with over 40 children and 10 adults attending. Continued successful face to face Punjabi Classes with positive feedback, introducing a new curriculum with the objective of working towards GCSE-level accreditation We achieved a sponsorship licence enabling us to sponsor a Giani from India, and now have a dedicated Tabla Giani in post. We completed major building works this year, including a new store building, a new toilets block, a new prominent entrance, energy efficient lighting throughout, relocation of the Grafton Street gate, repairs to major brickwork cracks, and essential repairs to the Giani Ji’s flat; we also held three Maintenance Days during the year, we invested significant capital expenditure in this regards circa £80K, all through congregation donations. We continued to serve and engage with the wider community in - Northampton, including multi faith and Police liaison meetings, an

||I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the
Trust”) for the year ended 31stMarch 2025
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under
section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all
the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b)
of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to
my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe
that in, any material respect:
•
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the
Charities Act; or
•
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
•
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the
form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports)
Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true
and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with
the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to
enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
