Section D                      Achievements and performance Following the acquisition of the Charity's new premises in 2010, the **Summary of the main** process of refurbishment continued with various small refurb projects. **achievements of the charity during the year** This is the 11[th] year of the occupation of the new premises, post Covid pandemic we have seen a strong performance in the membership and finances of the Charity. The continued support of the community, members and other donators was paramount to the success and aims of the Charity. Various fund-raising events were also carried out raising much needed funds for the charity with the help of our members. We successfully applied for various grants to support our Food bank initiative, well being activities and for other elements such as purchase of a defibrillator. We continued to host Schools visits to support local religious education curriculum for school children and teachers We continue with Eco initiatives by growing some of our own produce, switching to energy efficient lighting and we also installed an array of Solar Panels and batteries which provide a significant contribution towards our energy consumption of the Gurdwara premises (including heating of hot water). We supported the Northampton Carnival to Promote Punjabi Culture Hosting educational films Setting children’s educational workshops on major Sikh festivals. Holding children’s events in the summer holidays to keep children entertained. Face to face Punjabi Classes We hired a part time admin assistant to assist in the day to day operation of the premises and also to apply for Grants. We have carried out maintenance on the building We continue to serve the wider communities in Northampton

**Responsibilities and basis** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in **of report** accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. **Independent examiner's** I have completed my examination.
