TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SICKNESS, OLD AGE AND DISTRESS AND TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AMONGST WEST INDIANS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THE CARIBBEAN. 2.TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THE RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THE CARIBBEAN.
