Hlstory
In 1978, a Commtitee was fomied lo ralse funds for a Vi118ge Hall. Foresight, vision and money raised by a
variety of events resulted in St Farths Community Centre, phase 1 of which opened Sn Decemb8r 1985
following the purchase of the land by the parish council. Thls included the construction of a sports hall. Fund
raising continued and phase 2, including a bar and function room. opened in March 1991 followed by phas
3, including a snooker room, swimming pool, band room and gymnasium. in April 2000.

The charity is governed by a trust deed dated 28th June 1978 amended 2nd April 2008 and 8th April 2013.
ObJectlv•s and Actlvltles of the Trust
The objectives and activib'es of the Trust are to provlde a Community Centre for the inhabitants of tha parishes
of Horsham St Fallh and Newton St Faith. The centre provides a host of sports facilities and entertainment all
year round. Rooms are available for hiring lor lunctions and parties.
Achievements and Pèrformance
We are gradually réluming lo normality after covld wlth the bar back lo opening 7 evenings a week. W8 now
hav8 a new bar manager wh) Is working really hard to generate more revenue for the club.
We have revamped the swimming pool And the tennis courts and are now uslng an online booking system
which is working extremely well. We Are worklng really hard to encourage people to US8 these facilities and
they have both generated many more members which is great news for the club. Thar8 are also basketball
nets available lo be used free of Charge which have been well recelved.
We are still being hil hard by energy prlces but hopefully these will gradually decr8aso and with MO￿ users of
the club we are hopeful going forward.
We have generously bèen offered a new webstte paid for by Ivan Fisher Fun8ral Homes and the work on this
Is now tsking place to anable us to move forward in a positive way.
With a faiAy new committee we are glill feeling our way, but golng forward we are fegling really F7osilive and
are doing all we can lo support this wonderful fa¢illty.
RevSew of the actlvltles and results
The statement of financial activities for Ihe year Is set out on page 5. The total incoming rgsourc8s amounted
to £77.666 (2023 £46.6001. After d9ducting the lolal resources expgnded of £62,17412023 £63,040) Ih8r8
were net incomlng resources of £15,492 (2023 £16,440 n81 outgoing reSoU￿ts1. The net outgoing resources
have been deducted from the total funds lo l&ave a balance al 31 March 2024 of £268,73712023 £253,245).
Govemance and Internal control
Charfly law requires th8 trustees to prepar6 fln8nclal statements for each financial yearwhich show a true and
fair view of the slate of affairs of the charSty and its financial aGtivib'es for that period. In preparing those
financial statements, the Iruslees are requirgd lo:
select sultable accounting policips and then apply them consistently.,
make Judgements and •stimales that are reasonabl8 and prudent.
stale whethor applicable accounting standards and statements of rocommended practice have been
followed, subject to any departur8s disclosed and explained in the financial statements,. and
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is Inappropriate lo presume that the
harity will continue in op8rational existence.

The tnjslees are rèsponsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accura¢y
al any time the financial position of the charity and tc enable them lo ensure that the flnancial statements
comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also rosponsible for safeguarding the assets of the charty Bnd
hence for tsklng reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other Irregularities.
Th8 trustees who served during the ye8r and up to th• date of this report arg 581 out on page 1. Tha trustees
are fully responsible for decision makln9 and meet regularty.
Appolntment of trustees
New trustees are appointed by existlng Iruste8s as and whgn the need arises. The management committee
decides when there is a need for a new trustee to be appoinlod.
Publlc b&n8fft ststement
The trusleas confim that they have complled wlth the duty in S8Ction 17 01 the Charities Act 2011 to have due
regard to the Charity Commission'5 guidance cfi public benefit. 'Gharilies and Public Benefft,.
Risk management
The charity monitors its risk on an ongoing basis and has ensured that both polkles and funding lo mitigate
those risks will be mel during the financial year 2024125.
Intern81 risks are minimized by thé implemenlatlon of authorisatknn and checking procedures covering all
transactions undertaken and monitoring procedures to ensure consistent and quality dellvery of the servic9S
provided by the centre. The truslges regularly review these procedures to ensure that they moel the neèd5 of
the charity.
R•seNes pollcy
The Iruslees have s91 a reserves policy which requir88 thal general reserves should be maintainéd at such a
level as lo ensure that the organisatlon's core aclivi1188 can be maintsined over a period of al least srx months.

A resolution regarding th8 re-appointment of A Orye8 FCCA FCA as Independent Examiner will be put to the
forthcoming Annual G8n8ral Meeting.

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basls of proparation
The accounts (financial statements} have been prepared Ltnder the historical cost ¢onventlon with items
cognised at cost or transaction value unless othgrwise staled in the relevant notelsl to these accounts.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance wllh the Statement of Recommended
Practice.. Accounllng and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Flnancial Reporting Standard applicab18 in the UK and R8public of Ireland IFRS 1021 Issued in October
2019 and the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicabla in thg United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland
(FRS 1021 and the Charities Act 2011.
The charity constitutes a publ1¢ benefit entity as defin•d by FRS 102.
