Overall Income in the year totals £1,075.231 this is decrease of 50/0 on the previous year. This drop is due to multi
year grants ending in the period. Expenditure has increased significantly to £1,064,850, this 15 a 25.4tsA increase on
the previous year. The Increased Is due to additional staff members being employed in the year. The reduction in
income and increase in expendlture h35 led to Nel income reducing from a surplus for the penod ended 31 Mardi
2023 of £283.673 to a 5urplu5 of £10.381.
The chanly left the SYPA defined benefit pension scheme sn the period. The balanTr of the deffined benefrt pension
at the time of leaving the scheme has been recogni5ed a5 £364.000.

The financial slalements have been prepared in accordance with the charity's governing document, the
Cornpanies Act 2006. FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable In the UK and Republic Of
Ireland I'FRS 102.1 and the Charilies SORP"Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Practi￿ applicable to charities PFepafln9 their accounts in 8c¢ordance with the Financial
Rèporting Standaid applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" (effective 1 January 20191. The
chaiity is a Public Benefit Enlily as defined by FRS 102.
The financial statements afe piepared in sterling, which is the fvnctional Currèn￿ of the charity. Monetary
amounts in these financial staternents are rounded lo the nearest £.
The financial statements have been prepared undèr the historical cost convention. modified to include Certain
items at fair value. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.
1.2 Going concern
At the lime of approving the financial statements, the trLJslees have a reasonable expectation that the charrty
has adequate resources to continue in operational ex15len￿ for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees
ontinue lo adopt the going concern basi5 of accokjnting in preparing the financial statements.
1.3 Charltable fund$
Unrestricted funds are av8ilable for use at the discretion ol the trustees in furtherance of their charitable
objectives.
Reslricted funds are subject lo specific ¢ondstions by donors or grantors as to how they May be used. The
purposes and uses ol the restricted funds are set out in the notes to the financial statem8nts.
Endowment funds are subject to specific conditions by donors that the capltal musl be m#intsined by the
charity.
1.4 Income
Income 1$ recognised when the charity is legally entitled to it after any performance conditions have been rnet,
the amovnts can be measured reliably, and it is probable that income wtll be received.
Cash donations are recognised on rec8ipt. Other donations are recognised once the chaiity has been notified
ol the donation, unless performance conditions require deferral of the amount. Income tax recoverable in
relation lo donations recèived under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is ￿COgnised at the time of the donatlOA.
Legacies are recognis6d on receipt or othe￿i￿e if the charity has been notiffied of an impendin9 distribution,
