Independent Examiner's Report To The Trustees Of Quedgeley Community Trust
Statement of Assets and Liabilities As At 31st March 2022 pages 1 to 3.
Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The Trustees of the Charity are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Trustees of the Charity consider that an audit is not required for this year, under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 and that an independent examination is required.
It is our responsibility to:
Examine the accounts under section 43(3)(a) of the 1993 Act;
To follow procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act and
To state whether particular matters have come to our attention
Basis of Independent Examiner's Report
Our examination was carried our in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes the review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as Trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required by an audit, and consequently we do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner's Statement
In connection with our examination we confirm that no matter has come to our attention which gives us reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act have not been met.
We also confirm that in our belief the preparation of the accounts and the accounting records comply with the account requirements of the 1993 Act.

Chairman’s Report 2021/22
Like most groups and charities, it has been a very difficult year for QCT due to recovery from COVID 19 pandemic, this has seen both our income and grant giving drop from 2019 levels. However, we have again helped several local groups who without the Trust’s help would be struggling or even non-existent.
Quedgeley Show
The Trust was going to run Quedgeley Show with other groups within the community however due to pre-pandemic nerves it was decided to leave for another year. The Trust has said it will endeavour to do this in 2023.
Quedgeley Health and Fitness Club
QHFC provides a useful facility to all of the community. The Gym offers personal training plans, fitness classes, cardiac & stroke rehabilitation classes and hire of badminton, tennis courts and the sports halls. It helps promote a healthy lifestyle for the community. QHFC made a small profit and trading looks positive for 2022/23 and we are hoping that the gym will soon be operating with a profit.
QCT Quiz
The QCT New Year quiz was cancelled due to a COVID outbreak.
Q Club
We still remain in partnership with Prospect Training running the Q Club, but this venue has also suffered several forced shutdowns due to the pandemic. The soft play area has been great success, this has provided a facility for parents and Children to meet on a regular basis to promote community On Thursday’s, 130 to 150 children between the ages of 8 to 11 years regularly attend the club. On Friday’s 110 to 130 children/adults between the ages of 12 to 18 years attend on a regular basis. The Q Club still remains successful and is a beacon for youth provision and family cohesion throughout the County.
Finally
It is with sadness that I report the death of one of my fellow Trustees, Mr Keith Miller. Keith has given great service to QCT throughout the years and our thoughts are with his family. A special thanks goes to Mr Mike Skidmore my fellow Trustee. Thanks must go to Bluewave Partners Ltd who audits our accounts for free and I would also personally like to thank the rest of the Committee who without all their time and hard work the Trust would not be where it is today. I must also thank the people who give me the most support my Family. We should all be proud of what we have achieved through a very difficult year, however the COVID pandemic is still affecting the Trust and this year again could be very testing.
