Charities Activities and Achievements during the year in relation to its objectives:
The Trustees continue to hire the village hall and its grounds to clubs, societies and local organisations. Many hirers are long standing and all serve the local community. We are constantly seeking new hirers to make the most of the hall and the outside areas of the site.
Work Planned for 2024-2025
The income from our hirers has continued to struggled back to it pre covid level. The huge increase in our energy costs, although now passed its peak, has also had a major effect on our finances. This has forced us to reduce planned work to a minimum and concentrate on essential maintenance work and improvements to the energy efficiency of the building.
Work Planned for 2023- 2024
There is no planned work as such owing to the continued reduction in income and the high level of necessary expenditure.
Work completed 2023-2024
Ongoing replacement of rotting floorboards on top floor. Extensive cut back of trees along sections of the northern and eastern boundaries.
Grants and Donations
We received no grants or donations during 2023-2024.
