The organtsation is a tharitable company limrted by guarantee, incorporated on i* May 1978
and reg15tered as a charty on 16 June 1978. The company established vnder a Memorandum of
Association which established the obiects and powers of the charitable company and is governed
under Its Articles of Association and was135t amended 012th Ottober 2016.
The tharity's strutture is as follows..
General day to day managernent of the tentre at Ertth and hubs at Be￿eyheath. Blackfen and
Thame5mead, is the responsibility of the Chief Executwe Officer. All major decisions and
expendtture must be presented to and agreed bythe Trustees.
Inherent Rlsk
The charity is dependent on fundin8 from Bexley Council Iguaranteed until 20251 to sustain its
activtties. other thèn those hjnded dtrectly through specific grants. The trustees reco8nise the risk
that, should the grant not be awarded. the charFty would signfficantly be affected. and it may lead
to closure. The Bureaux would have to find different sources of funding to maintain the service.

The aim of the service is to provide the advice people need torthe problems they fa￿ and to
improve the policies and practKes that affert people's lives.
AehÈe¥ements and Performance
In the past year we saw IIM171 unique new Cl￿nts. this i$ 3 con5tantty ￿e¢￿a51Th8 number
as clients can only be new once. We have helped 3633 Clients, new and existing In the
period. This figure is unchanged from the last few years a5 we work to full capacrty.
Major grdnts have been avArded byTnJ5t for London and Trussell Trnst in thi5 year.
Flnancral revlew
There are £230.553 in unrestricted reserves. The charity has a policy on reseNes. to keep at
léast 3 months expenditure in the unrestricted reserve. This amount more than fvlfils the
obl¥g*ion. The core fundin8 from Bexley is in the tast year into a fiV￿yearfundlng agreement.
The levels of reserves are monitored by the adminÈ5trator any significant chaTr8es in staff
numbers Of htyjrs are reported to the trustees annually.
The restritted reserve5 of £46,331 is the unspent balance of grants awarded to the Bureaux
for specrftc on8oin8 projerts.
Stafflng
The stsffin8 levels fDrthe yearwere 6.53 FfE paKI staff and 3.3 voluntee￿.
Investment Policy
Aside from retaining prudent arnount in ￿serveS most of the charity5 funds are spent in the short
term, consequently there are no long-term investments. The trustees invest fvnds not
immediately required in the Charities Offjcial Investment Fund ICOIFI Deposit Fund managed by
CCLA Investment Management Itd, a specialist investor for.not for proftf organisations. COIF
deposit funds provides a secure environment wtth an interest rate of S.0391.
Trustee< Responstbllities
The trustees are required underthe Charthes Att 2011 to prepare financial statements for eath
financial year which give a true and fair view of the charTty's financial activities during the year and
its Ilnancial pjsthon at the end otthe year. In preparin8financral statèmerrt5 gfving true and fair view,

The trustees are responsible for keeping accountFng recoids, which enable them to disclose with
reasonable aecuracy the fi.nancial Position of the charity. and for ensur1￿8 that they comply with
applicable law and regulattOll5. They are also resFx)nsible for safeguarding the assets of the
charity and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.
