The charity is governed by a trust deed dated 3rd February 1978. Trustees wth suitable expertise
are iecruiled to assist the existing Iruslees. Training is provided where necessary.

needs of residents over 60 years of age by providing a meeting place. support and social activities.
and are undertaken to fvrther our charrtable purposes for the public benefit.
Ob'ectives and activltles
The main objectives of the charity are to provide a meeting place and to promote the weware of all
Heme Bay lesidents who are over 60 years of age.
Achievements and erformanc8
In addition lo providing a meeting pla￿ in the centre of Heme Bay. a well attended Christmas Lunch
was held al the Thanel Indoor Bovls Club as well as a Fish and Chips social in the summer.
FinancSal review
The charity aims to maintain 115 investment base al a SLrfficienl level lo cover the daY-t￿daY running
costs. Building repairs were started in May 2025 and £11,200 has been spent in this financkql year.
The Iruslees present the aecounls for the financial year ended 31st July 2025 in compliance with
stalulory requirements, including section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard lo publie
benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordan￿ wlh the requirements of the Charit￿$ Act 2011('Ihe Acl'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trustee's accounts carried out under section 145 of
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Direct￿n$ gNen by
the Charity Commbssion under section 14515I{bl of the 2011 Act.

la) General infom)ation and basis of preparatlon
The charity cOnStit￿eS a public benefrt entty as defined by FRS102. The financial statements
are prepared on a going con¢ern basis under the historical cost convention, modified lo
include investments al martiel value. The financial statements are presented in sterling.
The financial slalements have been prepared in accordan￿ with Accounting and Reporting
by Charities.. Statement of Recommended praCt￿e applicable lo Charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland {FRS 1021 issued on 16th July 2014 and Charf(ies Act 2011. Assets
and liabiif(ies are inrtially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwtse
slated in the relevant notes lo these accounts.
