The charity is governed by a trust deed dated 3rd February 1978. Trustees wf(h suitable expertise
are recruited to assist the existing trustees. Training is promded where necessary.

Our main acliv(ties and who we help are described below. All our charitable 8ctivf(ies focus on the
needs of residents over 60 years of age by providing a meeting place, support and S￿la1 actmiies,
and are vn(Jertaken to further our charitable purposes for the public benefit.

The main objectives of the charity are to provide a meets.ng place and to promote the welfare of all
Heme Bay residents who are over 60 years of age.
A¢hievements and erfomanee
In addition lo providing a meeting place in the centre of Hern8 Bay. a well attended Christmas Lunch
was held al the Thanet Indoor Bowls Club as well as a Fish and Chips social in the SUTNmer.
Financlal ¥evlew
The charity aims to maintain its investment base at a sufficient ￿Ve1 to coverthe day-to-day running
eosts.
The trustees present the accounts for the finaneial year ended 31$1 July 2024 in compliance with
statutory requirements, including section 17 of the Charrties Ad 2011 to have due regard to public
benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.

The charty constitutes a public benefit enlily as defined by FRS102. The financial st*ements
are prepared on a going concern basis under the historical cost convention, mOdrf￿d to
include investments al market value. The financial slalemenls are presented in sterting.
The financial slalements have been prepared in accordance wf(h Accounting and Reporting
ty Charities.. Sialement of Recommended PWi¢e applicable lo charities preparing their
accounts in accordance wrth the Financial Reporting Standard applicab￿ in th8 UK and
Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 issued on 16th July 2014 and Charities Act 2011. Assets
