mem ers. To start ouryear of we did indoor sports practice at Camelford leisure centre this was well supported and a fun wayto start our year off. Some of our members competed in the devon v Cornwall rugby match which Cornwaiiwon. We are practicing now for this year if anyone's keen to play that doesn't already know about it please speak to me. A bit later in the year Lewis Shirley and I represented st maybn yfc at the remembrance Sunday service held at the church. Another highlight was the indoor sports which at the first round manged to win to getthrough tp the final round of the competition, but with a lot of members awayfor the finalwe didn't come away with the win at the final unfortunately. We then had our dinner and dance which was held at Bowood golf club which was attended by Lots of past and present members. It was a great night with excellent food, speeches, music and for some people a little bit too much wine. Bookings are now beingtaken for this year please speak to me or lewis to get booked in. Joined by st columb young farmers we hosted the county carol service at truro Cathedralwith was a great honour as it only comes around about very 10 years to host it. I made friends with a donkey while other members were acting in the nativity and other members doing speeches and readings. Followed by a party afterwards. As a club we have done very well with our speaking competitions; our Braintrust team comprising of Ellie rundle, bryony Highmoor, Christina merrit and jess dally won the cornwaLL competition getting them through to the south west area round which they also got through to then compete in the national finals which they came 2" in. a very well done to you all. Two of our members grace smallwood and katie hodges, joined a composite team to compete in the after dinner speaking competition. They also got through to the south west area round and then to compete in the national finals as well, coming away with 4" place. A very well done to ou all fordoingsowell.,&GI9 4(fv¢f kJ }k*L kthJJ&J As a club we also took part in the pantomime competition, which lots of our members along with members from Camelford and Wadebridge all came together to compete against the other clubs in Cornwall. They got through the first round to the final which they came 2" in just missing out to compete atthe swa round. A massive well doen to you all and a big shoutoutto cari Thomas who directed and produced the whole pantomime. One of our fundraisers forthe yearwas our dung run that we did across the localvillages. Thankyou to everyone who helped out to make it a great success.

Another one of our fundraisers forthe year was easter bingo which we have done for a few years. It seems to be starting a trend as there was about 5 other young farmers easter bingo nights held within the space of 2 weeks. However we still had a great night , thankyou to all who attended, gave donations and to sally Kellow for calling the numbers. In the spring some of our members competed in the east vwest rugby match which was held at Liskeard young farmers. East our side won which was good. H'owever if gou were watching from the side you probably wouldn't have seen as it was rather dark, hopefully there will be proper lights wherever the match is played thi's year. On to competitions day, we had a great day out as a club with lots of 1" 2nds and 3rds throughout the day. A big thankyou to all members for entering lots of static entries and competing on the day. Afew highlights were the tow of teams with the men's and juniors coming first place getting us through to the swa round. At the southwest area rounds on a scorching hot th day at Hartpury college the mens came 3" in out half and the Juniors came 4 overall. A big shoutout goes to Andrew kellow for coaching all of our tow teams throughout the year. At royal cornwall show we had lots of static entries with lots of them getting places. As a club we entered the cubical which we had harry potter as our theme. After lewis got over the fact that the staircase I had made was apparently'too big, we manged to get everything eLse in the th cubical sorted and came a respectable 11 place a massive thankyou to everyone who helped get the cubical done. This yearwe decided to do a safari supper as one of our fundraisers as its something we haven't done for a while. We started of at dallys for starters, on to Trevathan farm shop for mains and then to lewis for dessert and drinks. It was a great evening with lots of support from past and present members. Thankyou to both the daLlys and bradleys for hosting us. At rally this year we entered lots of both static entries and competitions on the day. We came away with lots of our static entries getting 1" 2" and 3". Aswell as entering all the competitions on the day coming away with lots of points. Despite lewis nearly killing ed harris with a rouge nd wellywe manged to come 2 on the wellywanging competion. The mens and juniors towteams both coming first and the ladies coming third. AIL of this put together meant that we came 3 overall as a club at rally. Elliot Thomas and myself also took part of this years wotnot which we cycled from mont miche in France to st michels mount in penzance it was a great time and I would recommend doing a wonot to everyone even in you fall of you bike once of twice. Our final fundraiser of the year was our barn doo which was held by the kinf permission of the kellow family, thankyou very much. It was a great success this year as always with lots of people attending, thankyou so much to all parents and advisory who helped out on the bar. And luckily lewis can stop stressing that doesn't have to go to prison because of a falling ibc.
